Introducing our NEXT minister

Rev. Danielle Lindstrom sq

The CUUC Board of Trustees is delighted to announce that the Members of Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation at White Plains unanimously voted for Rev. Danielle Lindstrom to be our next settled minister. Rev. Danielle will start with CUUC on August 1, 2024. We thank the Ministerial Search Committee for their excellent work in selecting Rev. Danielle. Until she joins us, we will continue to engage our awesome 2023-2024 interim ministry team – Rev. Kimberley Debus, Rev. Paul Langston-Daley, Rev. Deb Morra, and Rev. Patience Stoddard – for ministerial activities. If you have questions about Rev. Danielle, contact Creighton Cray or Terri Kung.

Sunday Worship Service

Sun May 19, 10:00am “Coming of Age Sunday” ~ COA Youth, Educators & Mentors, with Tracy Breneman
Tracy is CUUC’s Director of Religious Exploration and Faith Development.

As youth leave childhood and enter their teen years, we support their transition with the Coming of Age Program. This year-long program helps teens learn more about Unitarian Universalism and teaches them to identify and articulate their own beliefs. Our COA Sunday worship celebrates and honors these youth and the adults who have worked with them this year. The youth designed and will lead this worship service.

The Sun May 19 Order of Service will be available shortly.

Our All-Ages Sunday Worship is in the sanctuary. Families are invited to attend the service together; Religious Exploration classes will not be meeting. Childcare is available starting at 9:45.

To join the worship livestream, log in to: bit.ly/CUUC-Worship, or phone in (audio only): 646-876-9923. Webinar: 761 321 991, Passcode: 468468

Before worship, the Environmental Practices team will meet to plan actions to promote sustainable habits. All are welcome! After worship we host a social hour in the fireside area for connection and conversation (parents and guardians, please pick up young children first). In Fellowship Hall, we will hold a sharing session for anyone who’d like to discuss their thoughts about the proposed updates to the Unitarian Universalist Assoc’s bylaws, which will change the current 7 principles to a “centered in love” set of values. And for our newcomers (and those who feel new), please grab a coffee and meet Mary C and Jessica L in the lobby to go to our newcomers’ conversation group. Childcare will be extended for those attending either event.

Those with us online may use our Virtual Coffee Hour Zoom space, bit.ly/CUUC-CoffeeHour, to connect with one another after worship.
